My American Idol

Dear Carrie,

I hate country music but you make it sound so good. Your voice is heavenly. Will you marry me? Marry me Carrie, marry me!

Feeling good

Birds flying high
You know how I feel
Sun in the sky
You know how I feel
Breeze driftin' on by
You know how I feel
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good

Fish in the sea
You know how I feel
River running free
You know how I feel
Blossom in the tree
You know how I feel
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good

Dragonfly out in the sun you know what I mean, don't you know
Butterflies all havin' fun you know what I mean
Sleep in peace when day is done
That's what I mean
And this old world is a new world
And a bold world
For me
For me

Stars when you shine
You know how I feel
Scent of the pine
You know how I feel
Oh freedom is mine
And I know how I feel
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life

It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life

It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
It's a new life
For me

And I'm feeling good

Kamao

Good concept. Fun show. I especially like how the contestants are stereotypical Filipino boxers (Laki sa hirap, malaki at puro ang puso, tipikal na Pilipino). Sakto rin yung show sa height ng career ni Manny Pacquiao (which is a whole other story by himself). I don't care if they based it on the contenders (which I have yet to watch). It's got a definite Filipino flair to it. Kudos to ABS-CBN. Kapamilya talaga ako.

Lyndal's Lifeline

I was flicking through channels when I saw this British cutie on Animal Planet. Yep, that's right, on Animal Planet. Before I knew it, I had dropped everything that I was doing and saw the whole documentary.

That right there is a very good way of educating males about protecting for endangered species!!

Interestingly (and it's really good marketing btw) she wears the same outfit wherever she goes (like Steve Erwin). But *ahem* her outfit is definitely better than Mr. Crocodile Hunter's. If you know what I mean.

More about Lyndal and her show here and here.

*Sigh* I'll run away and save the planet with you anytime, Lyndal.

things I learned at work (that can be applied to life)

1. Keep on prospecting. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

2. Failure is nothing. You learn from it.

3. It's okay to get rejected. Just keep on keeping on.

4. You can't win all the time, but if you keep on trying you eventually will.

5. Hope is not a strategy. It's good, but you can't do much with it alone.

6. You are your own benchmark.

7. You can't wait for opportunities. Opportunities are there. You just have to find them.

8. To fret is pointless. You will learn what you need to learn. Work on your weaknesses. Trust in your strengths.

9. Put it on paper. Track it. Update it. Post it. Look it up.

10. God has a plan for all of us. We have to learn to trust His plan and to listen carefully to what our graced hearts are telling us.

Fossil PDA watch

Check out this new Fossil watch. Aside from telling time, it can also show you your to-do list and your memos. Actually, it runs on PalmOS so you can load whatever palm software that can fit in its (understandably) small memory. Links to your pc via USB. I wouldn't but it, but it's pretty cool. More here.
