XP SP2

Windows XP Service Pack 2 is due this month. The update will (hopefully) give us XP users more protection specifically from network vulnerabilities.

It has been reported though that SP2 will cause some problems with certain network dependent applications. Microsoft has released a list of applications that will be affected by SP2.

Now these reports confuse me. I've already heard of people having problems with their Bluetooth networks because they supposedly already installed SP2. What's going on here? Ano yun, pirated? Hehe. Or maybe they're just bits of SP2 since SP2 won't come as one big download but will be released by Microsoft in chunks. Well, whatever the case may be, I just hope that you all have your auto-updates turned on.


Update: Microsoft has actually released SP2 to IT Managers already but the SP2 version for us normal people is still to follow.
